I have been MIA on my blog these past 2 weeks....but I have a good excuse. I have been working on a commission quilt for a family member. This piece has consumed my every minute for the past 2 weeks and I am finally getting to the end of it.
This is the quilt top completed:
In the process of quilting this lovely quilt. The center piece is for a special hand quilting section that will be done by my mother in law. Isn't this just a beautiful quilt?
I chose a leaf pattern for the quilting because I thought it would be perfect for the colors.
Here is the quilt completly quilted on the longarm. Next I need to bind it and have the center details hand done this week. I will post pictures of the finished quilt for you to see the end result.
I am going to have to make one of these for myself! (minus the square in the middle) because this is just a fabulous pattern. It's a Civil War inspired pattern and I will make one for my bed.
What do you think?
Lovely quilt and you did some great quilting. Love it!
